Ravelry was more or less unusable for ~12 hours overnight and into the next morning due to a combination of failed SSL certificate renewal, automated monitoring that failed to alarm, and me (the only engineer and the only 24/7 on call person) not receiving alarms and being away from keyboard during a holiday weekend. Uptime is important to me and I don't think we've had a basically-outage that was this long in over a decade.
I apologize that there were no status updates during this time. Had I been aware of the issue, I would have posted an update and it would have been fixed immediately. -- cass
